PENSACOLA BASS CLUB RULES FOR 2012

1. Locations, doubles of singles, fishing hours, and any date changes will be decided by the members present at the pre-tournament meeting held on the last Tuesday of each month.

2. Tournaments will be held on the first Saturday of each month.

3. The club will fish ten tournaments each year. February thru November, eight will count towards standings.

4. Dues are $40 and should be paid by the first meeting of the year, but, the tournament director will accept them at the first tournament before it begins.

5. A member that has reached the age of sixty five, and has been a member five years prior to reaching sixty five, is dues exempt.

6. Double tournament partners will be drawn at the pre-tournament meeting and no two same partners will fish together in the same year.

7. No two new members will be drawn together to fish a site neither has fished before.

8. Double tournament partners must notify the tournament director if unable to contact his partner 48 hours prior to the tournament so he may be given another partner, or as a last resort, be allowed to fish by himself. (try to avoid if possible)

9. A member may fish all singles tournament with a family member.

10. A member may not fish with the same non family member guest more then once during the tournament year.

11. All members partners will abide by club tournament rules.

12. There is no meeting in December, the banquet is in January and also the first meeting of the year.

13. Banquet arrangements, rule changes, and election of officers will be at the November meeting.

14. The Mr. Bass money will be awarded at the banquet. It is comprised of five dollars from each members tournament entry fee and five dollars from each members club dues. Pay out is 50% for first, 30% second, and 20% for third.

15. Unless the laws differ, the fish limit is five bass twelve inches or longer measured on a belly board with the mouth closed. One courtesy check is allowed if asked for prior to putting the fish in the basket.

16. If a short fish is put on the scales, that fish plus your largest fish will be excluded form your total weight. Dead fish penalty is .20 per dead fish.

17. Each club member tournament participant receives two non deductible points. Each member that catches a fish and is below tenth place receives another point. The winner receives eleven points plus two participation points.

18. All ties will be broken by the participants largest fish.

19. Any end of the year ties will be broken by end of the year total weight.

20. At blast off, the tournament director will announce starting and ending times. His watch is the official time.

21. All fishing will be done from a boat. You must fish only waters accessible from the launch area by boat.

22. All tournament members must be at the tournament launch at the beginning and the end of the tournament. Exceptions: (A) Late morning arrivers may fish if they contact another member and are at the weigh-in. (B) If necessary, you may leave early and have another member weigh in your fish.

23. Members may not fish the same bank within fifty yards of another member that was there first unless that member says its okay. Common sense and sportsmanship is a must.

24. Members late for the weigh-in will be penalized one pound per minute. After five minutes, the member will be disqualified. Exception: Helping someone in distress.

25. All participating members must wear a life vest when the big motor is above idle speed.

26. No alcoholic beverages are to be in the boat during the tournament and none to be consumed until after the weigh-in is completed.

27. Use only artificial lures, bait casting, flipping sticks, spinning and spin cast rods. No trolling is allowed. Drift dragging is permitted. Non tournament family members may use crickets.

28. Trophies will be awarded for Mr. Bass and lunker of the year. Plaques will be given to second through fifth place.

29. Each tournament participant will pay twenty dollars to fish. There is a five dollar fee to fish for the lunker and a ten dollar fee to fish for the boat bet. The best five fish in the boat count for the boat bet.

30. Each tournament participant must have an operational live well, kill switch and running lights. If they malfunction, they must work by the next tournament.

31. Navigation lights must be on prior to daylight.

32. Only five fish are allowed in the live well at a time. Culling any over five must be done before fishing is continued.
